Squish Studio Tilting Fogo Island Newfoundland - Photographed by Lisa Phillips.Saunders Architecture was commissioned by the Shorefast Foundation and the Fogo Island Arts Corporation to design a series of six artist studios on several locations of Fogo Island. Squish Studio, a distorted orthogonal volume near Tilting, home to the islands predominantly Irish community. The Fogo Island Arts Corporation has the power to transform the island into a new cultural, ecological and culinary geotourism destination, while at the same time kick starting a new financial future for the area.
